Renewable Wind Power Plants in Serbia under the Global Carbon Council

We develop renewable energy projects in regions with significant barriers to the implementation of renewable energy technologies

Our projects avoid the development of new fossil-fuel powered energy production and generate technology-based emission reductions.

Renewable energy development is one of the main tools at our disposal to limit global warming to 1.5°C and meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. However, many barriers remain to their implementation, making carbon finance a key lever to enable the growth of clean and sustainable energy in many regions of the world.

Project Summary

In Serbia, we have developed three wind power projects supplying clean energy to the Serbian grid

Serbia1

The projects drive sustainable development and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in addition to making a significant contribution to capacity building of the nascent renewables industry in Serbia.

Registered under the Global Carbon Council (GCC), the projects are certified to support the avoidance of new fossil fuel development in a national grid which is otherwise dominated by fossil fuel energy generation.
