Development of NAMAs and NDCs in Africa, Asia, LAC, and Europe
We support countries in the development of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) which form the basis of obligations under the Paris Agreement
NDCs include self-defined targets and objectives set by signatory countries to the Paris Agreement in the mitigation of, and adaptation to, climate change. NDCs are the backbone of obligations under the Paris Agreement and require careful design in order to ensure that targets are ambitious and achievable.
We also support countries in the design of Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs), having expertise in the mitigation of emissions in most technical sectors, including industrial processes and product use (IPPU), waste, and energy.
Project Summary
To date, we have supported the development of NDCs in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Europe
We have developed over 15 NAMAs in sectors such as renewable energy, rural electrification, industrial energy efficiency, transport, and waste management. Our experts, including economists and engineers, are keenly aware of the technical challenges around mitigation planning, and understand the importance of national context in the design of mitigation policies.
